Retro Pop Culture Show “Decade Brigade” Launches
Myself and Sarah Wallace have been talking a while now about doing a show focused on retro pop culture and the time has come to unleash it to the airwaves! The show is called “Decade Brigade” and we discuss the TV shows, movies, toys, fashion and music from the past few decades. It’s a pretty cool walk down memory lane and every episode is sure to give you many flashbacks of days gone by. The format is pretty loose for now, we’ve only done a few episodes, but we are open to feedback and have even started answering listeners comments on the most recent show.
Read Jay-Z “Decoded”
2010 was a pretty amazing year for Franklin McMahon Studio. We did bigger projects than in the past, I assembled a really great team of video producers, media masters and web developers, got a chance to work with some of the coolest clients ever and kept very busy for the duration of the year. After a holiday breather it’s time to launch into 2011. I have a feeling it will be another big year for myself and a lot of people. I feel a great key element to success, and to abundance and financial success, is to constantly reinvent and expand into new areas.
One of the books I read over the holidays was Jay-Z’s “Decoded”. I always like to read biographies as opposed to business books. Granted I read business and marketing books, but so much of those these days is how to harness and leverage the Internet, a very new topic that allows a person to rise up very quickly regardless of talent (just get a good SEO person). I am more interested in the journey of someone who has a lot of talent, drive and ambition. Learning how they made the journey.
Ask Franklin – Choosing a DSLR Camera and Shooting Web Video
We did the first episode of “Ask Franklin”, the show where we answer your questions! This is a pretty popular topic with a lot of Maine photographers who ask me what camera I am shooting with, as well as emails I get often. Figured I would discuss DSLR cameras and talk about what I like for features. Also I talk about web video, another popular topic a lot of people ask me about. Check out the clip for the answers…
